Lady Godiva Productions’ Youth Entrepreneurship Hub is a hands-on learning and selling experience designed to help young people ages 12–18 move from an idea to a customer-ready business. In one high-energy day, participants will learn core entrepreneurship concepts, refine their pitch, and immediately apply what they learn through the public Kidtrepreneur Marketplace.

The Hub combines instruction with practice. Rather than ending with a worksheet or lecture, the program gives each participant a real marketplace in which to present a product or service, interact with customers, make sales, receive feedback, and build confidence.

Program Objectives
-
Teach the foundational concepts of entrepreneurship and advanced techniques for participants who are establishing a business.

Help participants explain what they sell, whom it serves, and why customers should buy.

Kidtrepreneur Marketplace Part 2: Provide a safe, supervised environment for youth to test their ideas or sell in the marketplace.

Connect young entrepreneurs with business owners, mentors, sponsors, and supportive consumers.

Build confidence, communication skills, financial awareness, and a stronger entrepreneurial mindset.
Our Audience
The primary audience is youth ages 12–18 in Jackson and the surrounding area who are eager to learn about entrepreneurship, operate a small business, and/or have a product or service they are ready to introduce.

Rules for Participation
These rules are intended to create a safe, fair, professional, and youth-centered marketplace. Lady Godiva Productions may update operational details before the event and will communicate material changes to registered families.
1. Eligibility and Registration
-
Participants must be 12–18 years old on August 22, 2026.
-
Each youth business must submit a complete registration form, parent/guardian signature, product description, and $20 fee by the published deadline.

Registration includes one assigned vendor space. Space is limited and is not confirmed until the organizer accepts the registration and payment.

A business operated by multiple youth must list every participant. Additional fees or space needs require organizer approval.
2. Training Requirement
-
Registered youth vendors must attend and actively participate in Entrepreneurship 101 before the market opens.
-
Participants should arrive in advance to check-in and be prepared to discuss their business, pricing, costs, customer, and sales goal.
3. Parent/Guardian Responsibility
-
A parent or legal guardian must sign for every participant under age 18 and provide current emergency contact information.
-
Parents/guardians are responsible for transportation, timely drop-off/pickup, and any supervision requirements communicated by the organizer.
-
Parents/guardians agree to be hands-off during the vendor market outside of set-up and break-down.

The organizer does not assume custody beyond the published program and checkout procedures.
4. Products and Services
-
All products and services must be legal, age-appropriate, safe, and accurately represented.
-
Prohibited items include weapons, tobacco/vaping products, alcohol, controlled substances, counterfeit goods, sexually explicit material, hate-based material, gambling, live animals, and any hazardous or recalled product.
-
Services involving physical contact, body modification, open flames, chemicals, or power tools require written approval and may be prohibited.
-
Food and beverage sales or samples require advance written approval.
5. Setup and Space
-
Vendors must bring their own table, chairs, table covering, signage, displays, inventory, bags, payment supplies, and other setup equipment unless the organizer confirms otherwise in writing.
-
All equipment must fit within the assigned footprint and may not block aisles, exits, neighboring vendors, or accessibility routes.
-
Electricity, Wi-Fi, tents, and extension access are not guaranteed. Any electrical equipment must receive advance approval.

Setup may begin at 12 noon. Setup must be complete by 12:45 p.m. Vendors are responsible for their own set-up, including monitoring. Vendors may not dismantle before 3:00 p.m. without approval.
6. Sales and Money Management
-
Vendors set their own prices and are responsible for providing clear price information.
-
Each vendor is responsible for inventory, cash, electronic payments, change, receipts, sales records, and security of personal property.

Lady Godiva Productions and the venue do not guarantee sales and are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged money, products, or equipment.
-
Participants and guardians are responsible for determining and meeting any applicable licensing, tax, insurance, or consumer-protection obligations.
7. Conduct and Customer Service
-
Participants must behave professionally and treat customers, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and other vendors with respect.
-
Harassment, bullying, threats, unsafe behavior, disruptive noise, deceptive sales practices, or damage to the venue are prohibited.
-
Music, demonstrations, signs, and sales activity must remain within the assigned space and at a volume appropriate for the event.
-
Participants must follow all instructions from event and venue staff.
8. Safety, Cleanliness, and Liability
-
Vendor spaces must remain clean and safe throughout the event. Each vendor must remove trash and leave the area in its original condition.
-
Participants must immediately report spills, injuries, safety concerns, or damaged property.
-
The organizer may remove or stop any product, display, demonstration, or conduct that presents a safety, legal, or reputational concern.
-
Families should disclose relevant allergies or accessibility needs so reasonable arrangements can be explored; submission does not guarantee every accommodation.
9. Attendance, Cancellation, and Weather
-
Participants who cannot attend should notify the organizer as soon as possible.
-
No refunds will be provided.
-
If the event is postponed, relocated, or canceled because of weather, safety, venue issues, or circumstances beyond the organizer’s control, registered families will receive instructions using the contact information provided.
10. Media and Promotion
-
By registering, participants consent to photography and videography.
-
Vendors may promote their own business responsibly but may not photograph or publish identifying information about another minor without permission.
11. Enforcement
-
The organizer may deny an application, require changes, relocate a vendor, pause sales, or remove a participant for rule violations, unsafe conditions, misrepresentation, or conduct that disrupts the event.
